ABOUT US SIND SARASWAT BRAHMAN MANDAL is a Trust registered under Public Trust Act with the Charity Commissioner Greater Mumbai (Maharashtra). The Trust is functioning since 1975.Our primary objective is to Create Awareness , Educatation and Promotion of Religious Rituals ,Culture and Heritage and look after the interest and welfare of the community. These objectives are achieved by: - Publishing books particularly on religious rituals (karam kand) - Publishing yearly panchang / almanac - Providing financial aid to needy poor sindhi brahmin widows - Providing medical aid to poor and needy sindhi brahmin families - Granting aid for the brilliant students of sindhi brahmins - Coordinating for the formation of federations of all sindhi brahmins - Coordinating and conducting programmes to educate and create well qualified brahmins to practise ,conduct and preach our religious rituals - Establishing a database of practising sindhi brahmins globally To create funds by obtaining donations either in cash or in kind( movable /immovable) collection of deposits and interest free loans from the public or from banks or other financial institutions for the furtherance of the objects of the trust: For all these activities mentioned above, we are in need of funds and Machinery to function, hence, through this appeal we request all Individuals , Companies, Corporate Houses and Philanthropists to donate generously. We may inform you that we are a Registered Body with the Charity Commissioner Government of Maharashtra vide no PTR no: 3486 Mumbai since 14/1/1983 and our accounts are audited every year and Audit reports are submitted to the Income Tax Department and Charity Commissioner. The Income Tax Department ,Government of India has very kindly accorded us an exemption on donations under Section 80G vide order no. DIT (E)/MC/80 - G/2925/2004 - 2005 dated 12/07/2004. This Income Tax Exemption is valid. |
